Thsi quiz assumes the conventional defintion of a current as applied by physicists. In other words energy always FLOWS from high potential energy to lower potential energy. (This is because the second law of thermodynamics says this is how energy "flows.") This means that energy flows from the positive side of the battery to the negative side. This is the same flow pattern that is described by the flow of positive charge. [In reality electrons, not positive charges, move in ELECTRONics. But this does not agree with the flow of energy according to thermodynamics.]
